Your best motorsport photo of 2010

This is probably my favourite of the year, I've had some say they'd prefer to have seen the whole car in the shot but I'm not sure, I quite like the closeness of it. I also managed to get a runner up spot in a recent MSV competition with this too.

Oh, apologies for the large watermark I uploaded it back in the time where it was my thing to put a massive watermark on the images, and I can't be bothered to re-upload it.

Mainly my favorite due to the response from the driver, Paul O'Neill. When I showed it to him, he was gob smacked. He got a copy done for his parents which they've since put on the wall in their lounge :).

Think thats a better outcome than most people can say has come from any of their images. Its a superb images too.

Just to add my bit on this....the way the rear tyre is being compressed with the laying down of the power is a fantastic capture.....(y)

I am absolutely new in this forum.
I agree that the Spa 24 hours shot posted by Gary is really stunning. I was there and the Matmut car under lights was impressive.
Well, although is very difficult to establish my favourite shot, may be this is one of them.

That's truly a super image :clap:... but I have to say I don't like that angled crop. I believe car togs do it as they often need to inject some energy into otherwise static-looking shots, but bikes rarely need it, IMO!

I love this shot. Pin sharp, great panning and impression of speed, and a proper bike too! (no fairing) ;) MZ250 I think?
 
Difficult choice, have taken a lot of air shots and riders on the limit during 2010 but I keep coming back to this one of James Ellison at Oulton Park, bike and rider seem fused together, giving 100% as ever.

Feel ashamed to show a picture after seeing the pro's pics above me ,Taken with my old lumix fz28 at the 'roughside' stage, kielder on the 2010 pirelli rally.

I know its far from perfect but it has a certain feel to me

I had to think... Was it the 6R4's in the snow in Febuary, or one of the "little guys" running at the back, but giving 110%? Sideways Escorts never fail to impress, as does anything classic. Well, sorry to disappoint, but my favourite motorsport pic from 2010 was from an RTV event with my 4x4 club :)

Its not my finest, but I think it was the moment I "clicked" with my MKIV. A month later some scrote stole it.

I had stood at that position for the start of the race. Manthey was in 7th position. 1 lap later (not quite the end of the 1st lap) this was 1st place! Not only had he moved up to first but the Audi lock out that was 1,2,3 and 4 were nowhere to be seen! (theyre in the dip). On the second lap, the Manthey car was lapping back markers. He was doing 25k laps of the ring in little more than 8.32. Lap two and they had a whole 24 hours ahead of them lapping 200 back markers! Sadly the car was hit by a spinning Golf at around 1am taking it out of the race.
