    Cotswold and Panamoz

Hence my post but we all have different experiences. Im sorry @snerkler hasn't had a great experience, but at the end of the day it was resolved and refunded so its not like the problem is ongoing and wasn't attended to.

    Cotswold and Panamoz

I'd probably turn that round and say @Hanley 's response is a measured and rational one, especially as its based on personal experience - but you seem intent on "bringing down" cotswold based on 1 persons report of a bad experience and a few negative online reviews which doesn't seem overly...

Also maybe worth mentioning that a bit like digitalrev back in the day, don't they break up "kits" and sell separately which is why you might get an open box or wite box product.

    Why lopsided

But your eyes don’t see at f1.4 or 300mm. I see in colour not black and white - so why bother at all? I think that’s floored logic

    Why lopsided

Ok I get that fair point - but in these circumstances it does help to illistrate your point and explain rather than just saying "XYZ". So... In the intrests of getting things going... here are a few of mine from a couple of weeks ago - that I like, and that I think work. The Blue Aston I think...

    Photo Mechanic has won :-(

I'll have to have a look at fast raw viewer. all i am really interested in is picking the sharpest frame but often need to zoom in to a drivers helmet or front of car to do so which is the slow bit

The main thing is that you use the meta data and in that case its worth while I mentioned it, because I started adding meta data with AI a couple of years ago. Using google gemini, its really cool and potentially very useful. I used to use it to find car registrations when doing competitor...

    Photo Mechanic has won :-(

I have managed to get my hands on an old copy and really couldnt do with out it for going through motorsport stuff quickly now. It still takes time though but much much quicker than lightroom at checking critical sharpness on 1000s of photos. RE the meta data thing though - one question - it...

Cheap Canon body for surfing photography.

remotes, in Rallying. Placed in places you wouldn't want to stand or put an expensive camera!!

Cheap Canon body for surfing photography.

another vote for the 7d mk2 here. What are they retailing at on MPB these days? I shot with a 7D mk1 for 10 years and compared to my 20D the noise was horrible and the quality of the files just not as polished.... So I would not recomend the Mk1 However, I bought 2x 7D mk2s second hand for £300...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

In my defence it all does happen very quickly! Maybe I've just become too used to it coping with situations, not being used to having F1.4 though, as my old 50mm 1.4 just wasn't quick enough focusing to use in these situations. So, I'd always be controlling the shutter on an F2.8 lens as the F...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

me too @taxboy - but when I am doing candid racing stuff, and one minute I want to poke the camera into a car and the next I want to be shooting backlit into the sun as a car comes into the pits or something i want the camera to control the speed to avoid under exposure or hitting ISO 12500 etc...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Quick one. I tend to use Fv Mode quite a lot now, flexibility mainly, so i dont have to keep changing modes. Not sure its FV specific but I am slightly confused about Canon's metering... on my 85 1.4 i tend to shoot at the smaller F numbers but my camera seems to meter for the lowest ISO...

Canon users -are RF lenses worth the premium for hobbyists?

I bought my 400 2.8 just before the 100-300 was released but to me I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway. I have 70-200 F2.8, and with the excellent RF TC 280 F4, so its a lot of cash to put down for not much benefit to me at least.
