Thanks, my friend just got the V700, so I borrowed it for some scans! Big boat then a little later when it was darker...

I'm also an xpan user :) My main issue though, is scanning! How do you scan?* I've got a coolscan V, but means I have to scan in parts and stitch, which is slow and irritating (ok, I'm just lazy!). Another problem was when I bring my negs into a shop for dev-only, sometimes they cut my photos...

My main camera is the 1V. I love it, it's really great. I think the EOS 3 is similar to the 1V in features, except in build, and the 3 has the eye-controlled focus. Good comparison table here: http://photonotes.org/reviews/1-1n-3-1v/

I like #2 though the slight tilt and extra space on left hand side makes it feel a little unbalanced; but the collection of photographs looks good!
