They were showing well at Slimbridge last Tuesday at the normal hide, they have now installed a perch on the close bank which is still a bit far even with a 500mm but it's better than nothing, one kindly perched on there for me and I got some of my best Kingfisher pictures yet, well pleased:cool:

Thats cool BUT that way you have to either buy the reuseable type (which are themselves fallible) or cut them every time you want to elongate your strap (and remember to carry spares) My way is fail safe, cheap and easy to use;)

I use the Op tech strap and like you do not want to trust the quick release fittings, so my solution was to put a loop of climbing accessory rope through the leather fittings above the quick releases so if the worst happens it's still attached, my loop is long enough to undo the qr's and allow...

Mine was collected last Thursday and delivered back yesterday, went to Canon at Elstree, really pleased to have it back in time for my hols today:thumbs: Of to Skomer, Ramsey etc a bit early but not so busy and there is still plenty to see:clap:

We have a number of Peli's and although there are no attachment points it's easy enough to secure large tripods etc using a long enough ratchet strap, just wrap it around the Peli and tighten it, works for me and I've been uisng them for years:)

For me it's way to dark, I know it's night but, the highlights are blown and it looks out of focus as well:shrug: just my thoughts:thumbs:
