    Hi all a couple from a quick session with 90mm tamron, raynox 250 a stinging nettle and a family of aphid i think ? not sure if there the same species or what, also it was a shame i couldn't get all 3 in focus before the brown one moved and then this chap on its own

    Thanks graham, no not handheld i used a tripod, digicam control to take the shots in its focus stacking mode then helicon focus to stack, think it was 10 shots

    Hi all following on from the macro id thread for the Cladonia lichen that I found I went a bit mad and put a raynox and extension tubes on my macro to see how close I could get and with some focus stacking I came up with this, image is about 14mm tall. AL

    Ah ok thanks, and yeah i did boost the colour in the second pic a bit, the first pic is nearly spot on though. Would another photo of the other features help, and could you tell me what they are ?

    Hi Yeah they are a lichen, I think the fairy cups are a fungi, well thats what i get when i googled it
