    Swallow in Flight

Belting shot there. I've tried before but failed miserably. Just out of curiosity, how many shots did you take before you ended up with that one ?

    Swallow in flight

Good Photo. I like the action. I've tried taking photos of these myself but never managed anything as good as that. Keep em coming.

    Swallows

Thanks for the feedback. This is part of the problem. I am using autofocus to try and compensate for them flying past and changing direction but I think the camera can't focus that fast and the fact that the lens is 30+ years old and isn't quick also contributes. The 'in focus' shots are the...

    Spotted Flycatchers

One and Two are my favorites with number 1 just pipping it. I like the foreground material the bird is stood on. :)

    Swallows

I think I may have reached either the limit of the equipment or more likely, my own ability. Any advice on catching these birds ' on the wing' would be welcome. ( Sony A580 and a Minolta 70-210 F4 set to Shutter Priority )

Harewood Hillclimb - Classic & Vintage

Number 3 is the one I like. The Heat haze gives the sense of motion. Might have bee better if the Crash barrier wasn't green IMHO but you have to work with what you have.

    Swallows

Believe me, there were quite a few blank photos. I think part of the problem is my lens. It only goes to f4 so limits the speed v iso a bit. It's an old Minolta beeran 70-210. still good and sharp, but maybe not just fast enough for these types of shot.

    Swallows

Just taken these tonight. Struggled with them as they are fast little beggars. Any tips on how to improve them ?

    A Trio of Evoques

Good point. I don't like them. Much rather have a Freelander but that's because I don't think Evoques are practical, more a fashion accessory that will soon lose it's shine. Must say though that Range Rover have pulled off a superb sales pitch with them and maximised the revenue from the Range...

    A Trio of Evoques

Agree with the above. To me it looks a good snap of 3 cars for sale and not a photo. To much background in focus and the posts in the foreground are too prominent for me.

    Thirsty Hover

Glad they aren't this big normally. Great photo. Is it stacked ?
