Nice review! I have that tripod with a bal head and it is very good for the price. I do see a lot of people complain that its too heavy for going out hiking with but I think its fine, never even notice it once its strapped to the rucksack.

Nice, I think I like the 2nd better. Just wondering how you processed these? I would love to do landscapes but mine always look washed out or too dark.

I am looking into getting some ND grads but I was wondering what the numbers relate to. Such as 0.3, 0.6 etc etc. Do these relate to the amount of filtering, such as a third or two-thirds of a stop etc? I am trying to work out what ones to get for landscape photography. Thanks for any info:)

Thanks for the feedback folks, it is appreciated. The lighting I use is very simple. I use my caving headlamp and also a Fenix T1 LED torch. Expose for about 30 seconds, ISO200, F5.6 usually and wave the torch around to paint in the light. The "marbling" is just flowstone or calcite...

Being a huge fan of dereliction I love these mate. My favourite is the two baths. Saw these on DP as well.

Pretty much any scene from the epic Koyaanisqatsi. Especially the demolition scenes in the desert oilfields.

All wonderful, he is such a lovely pup. But my fave is thae last one. He looks stuck on top of that little snow heap!

I would encouraged her to call the policeand then she would have looked like very stupid and probably been done for wasting thier time.

I am gradually trying out lots of different things. I think you are right, an overhead flash would be useful but I have only got two at the moment. I think I will ditch the light tent and try a better set up.

Thanks Slipwave, that really looks great! I will have a go of that myself. At the moment Photoshop seems like a mysterious black art to me. Richard, good idea, I'll will certainly give it a go with the perspex. I like trying out new ideas like this:)
