Can anyone recommend a good Photoshop for Photographers Beginner's Course?
I'd like to organise one for my dad who's retired and getting in to Photography and I'm looking for a weekend course ideally. There seems to be one at the London school of photography but the next available weekend...
Here's a video of what's going on... apologies, I did this really quickly with my phone in portrait rather than landscape format

Any ideas?
Hi, I'm recording some videos in my car at the moment using the 6D attached to the inside of the windscreen via a suction mount. I have a Tamron 24-70 f2.8 lens but it's not quite wide enough and it's too big and heavy and shakes around all over the place when I'm driving.
Are there any...
Thanks for all of your replies guys:

and on 2:00 mins you'll see that with the mic was plugged you can see the input levels via the sound recording menu. On my camera with everything plugged in I can't even get...
It is not a powered mic, just a simple 3.5mm lav mic. I've tried it in my phone using a voice recorder app and it works fine. In the Canon it's as if the camera doesn't detect that there is a mic plugged in, all the videos are completely mute so it's turned off the camera's internal mic but it...
Hi there,
I have a Canon 6D and I've just bought an external lav mic (Rode) but I can't get it to pick up any sound and recorded video is completely mute.
I have plugged it in to the 3.5mm mic port but when I look at the sound recording setting in the menu I can't see any kind of "live" sound...
Does there exist an 'idiots guide' to storing photographs.
I'm honestly so crap with technology it's untrue and as I explore photography I'm finding it increasing hard to know how best to store everything on my macbook pro.
there are so many cloud systems these days that stuff is getting...
Can anyone recommend a range of camera bags?
I'm after something small with a shoulder strap to carry the camera round in during the day... enough space for flash and a spare lens but not too bulky.
I've cancelled the flash and ordered one of these

Thanks for the advice
For the sake of £50 I've gone for something as small and compact as possible. Plus it's Canon OEM so for a numpty like me it'll help for it to integrate with the camera. I fully expect to have to upgrade it in the not too distant.
Right, ordered the 6D with lenses recommended above by minnnt, also picked up a small Cannon 270EX II flash which should get me going.
Booked in to an intensive photography course and looking forward to plenty of practice before I go on holiday.
I'm sure I'll pick all this up but any software...
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the advice. I've been doing a bit more reading and chatting to the pal of mine who bought the 7D II and I think the 6D is looking like the better option. My friend does a lot of Motorsport photography so the 7D makes a lot of sense but my plans are more...
