I sell a fair bit on eBay and I wouldn't send by My Hermes. Royal Mail or Collect+ for me. And anything even vaguely fragile gets sent in a box in the middle of lots of bubble wrap and newspaper padding.
Thanks for the response. Brand new version of PS (on the monthly subscription) and likewise with iPhone - app that can recognise other RAW formats. I will try and update the sjcam firmware but it is frustrating!
I know they have caveats but it wouldn't take much to insert a test that picks up item location as say Japan, being advertised on U.K eBay therefore " please be aware a minimum of x amount of customs duty and an admin charge by RM or courier of minimum etc...
I really like some of the Samyang wide angle prime lenses. Nice quality at the price and with landscape and a tripod, manual focus doesn't bother me. Plus v good f stop for exploring night time / Astro photography.
I have a small GoPro clone from china - sjcam. Obviously not something I use for anything serious but I do carry it clipped on when Scuba diving just incase I see something and don't have my camera with me. One of the things I liked about it is that, as well as 4K vid, it took photos in jpg...
I wish I'd had a lens that did better quick focus short depth of field as the surroundings weren't always the prettiest and blurring them away would have been a good approach...
Will post some up after my next trip. No real risk of ruining kit with a proper housing and diving insurance hehe. Definitely a HUGE learning curve with shutter speed, strobes and light metering not the same as above water at all plus the challenges of fast moving critters UW and scaring them...
Just switched to Olympus E-PL7 MFT from a Canon 650D and loving it, also got an E-PL1 for underwater but excited to be awaiting delivery of my new E-PL7 housing... Main passion is underwater photography as well as landscape. Also enjoying iphonography...and seeing just how far you can push the...
Yeah: that £130 I spent in jessops remains the worse money I spent on photography gear. It was useless. Other lens I've bought and sold on when thy haven't been for me, that lens I felt guilty about selling onto anyone!! I think I threw it in for free when I sold my camera hahah
Oh and also, be assertive! I was a bit shy but one thing that was really important to my couple was walking down this country path and tying the bouquet to a bench commemorating the grooms mother. I was very polite but firm in asking guests not to follow for a minute or two so I could get the...
Oh and to cap it all off, I got chatting to one of their relatives who turned out to be a professional photographer who said she'd said no when they asked as she didn't want the stress!!!
To be honest, it's the last time I'd agree to do it! In the end I learnt a lot and got some photos I was really proud of. They too had other guests take photos but I was the "photographer" and I'm glad my shots stood out in quality. Mistake I made - taking a lens I really loved shooting with...
