These three shots were all taken at the end of November '08. The weather was much the same as it is now but not quite as cold!

It seems photobucket had defaulted them all to 1024px - sorry! At least I know i'm not going mad :)
# 1 & #3 were shot in a gale and I ended up having to hold the camera which i'm sure would have added some lens blur (my hands are unsteady at the best of times). PP involved a small crop and sharpening the image. I didn't want to over sharpen it though as it looked unatural.

I always like to see shots of Blackpool that show it in good light as it seems to get more than its fair share of grief. These are stunning. I like #1 best. :)
I bought a 10-20mm Sigma for my Nikon a couple of months back. Apart from the occasional odd distortion at 10mm I have been very pleased with it. Although I've not had any experience with the Tokina lens :)
Cheers for the comments. I've added the original above but the mushroom really is that bright red colour. Looked completely surreal when I saw it but not sure it works in full colour either!

It depends which way you come from Stockport. If you came over Winnats pass and then went through to Bamford and then upto Ladybower then you can return over Snake Pass and go in a large circle.
There is Mam Tor near to Winnats Pass which if you are feeling lazy you can park nearby and walk...
