    Broad Haven Milky Way

Samyang version matey, yeh it's a great lens for this - pretty cheap and has better coma for night shooting than the Canon version :)

    Broad Haven Milky Way

Thanks all Shot on 5D3 & 14mm - the sky is 5 shots aligned and stacked for noise reduction purposes (f/2.8, ISO6400, 30secs) Foreground is one of the shots, all same settings - you get reflection light sources in vertical lines. Not always an exact mirror. Cheers

    Broad Haven Milky Way

Another late night session, standing alone on Broad Haven beach at night is a pretty surreal experience. The receding tide had left a bit of a lagoon on the beach which made for the perfect reflections so made the most of itsmile emoticon Two brightest objects on the right are Antares and the...

    Midnight Mass

Star trails over the iconic St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales at around 2-3am. Made up of 114 images for the stars and two different exposure for the foreground to combat street lighting and balance up the image. Love shooting trails when the moon's out, not only helps with some fill...

Puffins At Skomer - Advice Please

I run around 20 1-2-1 workshops on Skomer every year and know the island very well. It's a pretty flat island once you're on it, and only a few paths on it so you can always get to where you want to go. At the Wick is the main Puffin colony area and you're always around 20 feet at least from the...
