One thing to take into account with buying any insurance is potential cashback to make it better value. I went with photoguard insurance and through Quidco got £30 cashback (on a £120 policy). The current rate is £19.20 cashback.

I think both would complement my 24-100 F4 and 50mm F1.8 very well and hopefully like you say be able to get the two together for £700-750 ish.

And the 100-400mm. Maybe a little bit slow but also for the size and price considering it goes up to 400mm it's quite a bit of extra reach over the old 70-300mm that I have.

I think you are right that it has to be USB-C. I can tell you that a USB-C cable capable of 60W and 30W Charger is enough to charge. I would be interested in getting lower wattage chargers and seeing at what point it stops charging.

I think the R6 is very good in low light. So long as you can stomach the small step down in resolution, but it is the same sensor as the 1DX MKIII... Could be worth trying the Canon Test Drive service to find out for yourself?

I test drove that exact same combo as well (if it's the F4L you're after). It is also worth noting that I think they pretty much always arrange delivery a day early so you would likely have it all day Friday as well just in case the vaccine wipes you out.

You're right, I thought it selected the product based on the serial number you put in, turns out it's the other way round. You could stop a bot though from the brute force approach.

You can still register products with Canon bought through Panamoz absolutely fine. They won't honour the warranty but you can still link the kit to your account but they do seem to double check the serial number.

You would expect them to make it a "plugin" for On1 as well when they release it. Like an upgrade to make it 2021.75 that they can charge more for and then include it in 2022...
