I photographed this spider on our garden gate last year (very badly I might add). I thought it had died and was left cocooned in this mass of web through the winter. To my surprise it is alive and well and building it's web again!

Great shot, I'm still looking out for the jumpers in my garden. I quite like the pink thing in the shot, it makes sense of the letterbox format as the focus of attention for the spider!
