Aha, no I haven't seen this G2 version...silly me! I just had a look, certainly different to the other Tamrons. Seems it's similar price to the Sigma. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have a closer look at this lens.

By far my most used lens is the Canon 24-70 2.8L (mki). I haven't upgraded to the mkii as I didn't see a enough difference to justify the cost. I wish someone had told me to go for the higher end model when I got my first dslr. It would have saved me money in the long run, rather than getting the beginner gear, outgrow it in 6 months then sell, loose money and buy the camera I should have bought from the start.

Have you thought about going a step further and getting a 7D, maybe second hand? It's better built, better ergonomics, has better focusing and metering than the 60D. I've upgraded from the 600D and my pictures improved, because of the quick and precise access to all the controls and the 100%...

Nice shot indeed. I agree with the reply above, insread of the grey sky, I'd rather have the full reflection of the bridge and couple in the composition. Still great shot, nice detail and sharp.
