Can I use a Canon Speedlight 580EX as a master on a 5D mk3 and a 430EX11 as the slave

I understand you can't update the latest firmware update for the Sony A7R ( !.10 ) if your running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1 , is that right, be grateful for any advice.

Purchased one a couple of weeks ago and suddenly I noticed that both in the viewfinder and the screen when preparing to take a picture semi vertical lines move across the screen, it's very noticeable on the lighter parts of the screen but the finished picture is not affected . I suppose I've...

Thank you for your replies, I was using manual focus, but I now see using AF I get the green rectangle . I,m trying to taken pictures of a marine fish tank and it's proving very difficult !

When shooting in live view with my 5d mk 3 why doesn't the rectangle turn green when focused but remains white all the time

I thinking of moving from a canon 24-105 to a Tamron 24-70. As I'm not that pleased with the canon on my 5d mklll I would like to go for the canon 24-70 2.8 mk2 but the price is too high,and the reviews of the Tamron seem quite good. Anybody done this ?

As a new 5D Mk3 owner i am a little confused by the AF Area Selection Mode and which one to use for what. For examlpe which one would you use for landscapes with a 17-40 lens, and is there an easy way to decide.

I have a MK lll with a 24-105 lens and I am interested in landscapes and have been looking at the canon 17-40 ( can't afford the 16-35) and the sigma 12-24 mk ll . Would be interested in any opinion from anyone with either
