Milky Way panorama from Holy Island in Northumberland

I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said! Stunning work!

Critique Foxfield Light Railway B&W added

No 2 is a nice shot, though Im not a fan of the B&W conversion on the 1st... I think B&W could work, you just need to have a play with the levels. Too much detail has been lost in the trees for my liking...

    HELP!! Beach wedding tips needed!

Thanks :) They were quite difficult to work with, really didn't seem close (particularly so given it was their wedding day!?) Silhouette shot would have worked well, and something I did think of after I'd left... hindsight is a wonderful thing!

    HELP!! Beach wedding tips needed!

I'm sorry folks, I'd completely forgotten about this post, and TP didn't 'remind' me that there had been so many replies since! I did go ahead with the 'shoot' (if you can call it that!?) and it was a fairly 'different' experience on my part. The fact I didn't hear back from them after giving...

    Nikon 35mm f/1.G or Sigma 30mm

Actually ended up buying from DWI, eGlobal are really popular here in Oz cos of the large markups on official Aussie stock... Id never buy anything of significant value from such sites (I got my body here, from an actual shop). But eGlobal wanted $90 p&p which meant DWI actually worked out...

    D7000

I can give my thoughts here. I've been 'into' photography for roughly 10 years, I came from 2mp Vivitar, to a 3.2mp Kodak, to an 8mp Casio (which was worse than the Kodak!?), I then stepped up to an Olympus Micro 4/3 (E400), this travelled around Europe, across the States, and to various other...

Thanks for the tips guys. 35mm is on the way along with an SB-700

    Sharks Bay by TLR

Nice! Relatively 'local' to me, but I still need to check out Sharks Bay!

    Nikon 35mm f/1.G or Sigma 30mm

No, unfortunately not, if it was the A series for that price, it would be on it's way! Haha

    Nikon 35mm f/1.G or Sigma 30mm

I was about to pull the trigger on a 35mm f/1.8G, ($155 from eGlobal, which I thought was a bargain), when I noticed that the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM lens can be had for $243... Any advice on which I should get? Is there $100 worth of value in the Sigma? I also plan on getting an SB-700 flash...

    Carl Zeiss Lens

I actually like the negative space in the first version. Though it doesn't particularly add 'value' as such, it doesn't necessarily detract from the photo either. I like the almost editorial/advertisement feel it gives. As above though I'm not a fan of the grey, it needs to be 'black' for me...

Sorry to hear of your loss, Roy. The shot of Harris in the buttercups is a beautiful photo

Circa late 60's Chevrolet Camaro SS 398

Thanks for the feeback. The PP was deliberate, but I can definitely see what you mean! Are these better? Just a few tweaks on these, highlights are probably slightly blown on the 1st. Does the square shot work better? D7K_5573 by Dan Mears..., on Flickr D7K_5570 by Dan Mears..., on Flickr

    Mazda MX-5 VS

I think it's maybe the haze/fuzziness to the trees rather than them having a 'streak' maybe? I like your shots though, Reinis, definitely following your work from now on
