No 2 is a nice shot, though Im not a fan of the B&W conversion on the 1st... I think B&W could work, you just need to have a play with the levels. Too much detail has been lost in the trees for my liking...

Thanks :) They were quite difficult to work with, really didn't seem close (particularly so given it was their wedding day!?) Silhouette shot would have worked well, and something I did think of after I'd left... hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Actually ended up buying from DWI, eGlobal are really popular here in Oz cos of the large markups on official Aussie stock... Id never buy anything of significant value from such sites (I got my body here, from an actual shop). But eGlobal wanted $90 p&p which meant DWI actually worked out...

I was about to pull the trigger on a 35mm f/1.8G, ($155 from eGlobal, which I thought was a bargain), when I noticed that the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM lens can be had for $243... Any advice on which I should get? Is there $100 worth of value in the Sigma? I also plan on getting an SB-700 flash...

I actually like the negative space in the first version. Though it doesn't particularly add 'value' as such, it doesn't necessarily detract from the photo either. I like the almost editorial/advertisement feel it gives. As above though I'm not a fan of the grey, it needs to be 'black' for me...

I think it's maybe the haze/fuzziness to the trees rather than them having a 'streak' maybe? I like your shots though, Reinis, definitely following your work from now on
