    EOS 400D Issue?

Ah i see, i never thought of it actually having to supply power to the flash. Silly me. The battery was full, but i was taking a lot of pics in quick succession. Would a standalone flash quash this issue as it would be self powered?

    Night Shooting

Thanks for the replies, i'll get the pics up as soon as. I tried using it on P setting and playing with the settings, but to no avail. For these particular shots i was just using the kit lens, which i know isn't great and as i was tramping around disney a tripod seemed like excess baggage...

    Night Shooting

Hello all. I'm struggling to get decent photos in low light. I have an EOS 400D but have no idea how to use it in the dark or low light. While in florida i tried to get a picture of verious things including the castle at Disney in very low light, only for them to turn out rubbish. I will...

    EOS 400D Issue?

Hello all. While in Florida, I visited a local car show, while taking photos in good light, the camera excelled, but as the parade started it was dark and the flash had to be used. After a few shots, the camera would show 'Busy' and the flash symbol next to it, is this the flash getting a...

    Shooting Skateboarders

Not literally of course... My nephew is a great wee skateboarder and has recently secured sponsorship from a local clothing company. They have asked for some decent photos of him 'in action' and I'd like to have a pop at it. I have a Canon EOS 400D with just the kit lens and a sigma...

    My first real photo

No filters were applied, this was just shot straight from the camera. Admittedly the camera was on auto. I was just looking for direction if i was on the right track for capturing a good image. For some reason the exif isn't in the image, i didn't remove it? So where'd it go?

So other than the positioning, is the composure OK? I was a poor attempt at trying to get something in the thirds.

Yeah, but when you live in Glasgoe you have to be quick or you miss the light. My estate is still a building site too, and the dust was settling on the car faster than i could wash it

    My first real photo

not a bad first car. Mine was a £50 polo that had around 2 cylinders left firing when i sold it. I haven't cropped the image at all, there looked to be a lot more in the view finder. David
