    its £630 brand new (which is only £5 more than the cheapest ive seen online in the UK) for the camera and hes giving me £150 for my d3100 which im happy with as they are £300 brand new so its what i was expecting.     Yup in theory you should always use them prior to easi outs as obv. any snagging of the bit whilst drilling is likely to tighten it, only adding to the problem. In practice, they're rarely(as in never) available so a correctly sharpened bit at an appropriate speed usually suffices
