I often think the same myself.. there's always something going on somewhere that could make a unforgettable image. If only I could be there to take it but there's always work, the kids, other things I am meant to be doing. Maybe if I win the lottery... :)
Yes I have a few of the same in my collection!
However I've been looking at trying different techniques recently and the same shot executed at night really stands out from the crowd.
Totally agree, I don't understand why people make life difficult for themselves by shooting in full manual, especially when they are new to photography!
I've been thinking of treating myself to something and was tempted by the 24.. but I already have the CZ 24-70 and the first review I read was a bit lukewarm.

The cq series have a high rate of motherboard failure, almost as high as the HP dv series which is saying something.. at work we've a large box full of these motherboards from repairs we've done.
The problem with repairing cq laptops is that the new motherboards that HP supply for this series...
If you don't know what that is you're going to struggle getting a site set up!
Unless you want to go through a lengthy learning process it might be best to either buy a template (there are lots of good ones and not expensive) or get a professional site builder to do the job for you.
