I see what you mean Russell. Not sure about it though, seems to my eye that the space on the left now needs something more as Chris has suggested. Being a newbie at this it would be really helpful for me if you could explain why you think this is a better crop.

So many filters, so many prices. What's the difference?

I'm in the market for these filters also and this thread has proven quite useful. However I need 67mm which are minimum £75 for the Hoya Pro-1 and a bit toppy for me. I know sound advice is to buy the best but what is the advice if the budget for a CPL is only £30?

Thanks for this Russell. Do you mean I should deliberately crop to put the statue at an angle or to one side of the frame? I'm not sure I follow what you mean. The vignetting I actually added in Elements with the Burn tool as I thought it would draw the eye into the centre of the frame. I...

    Hello

I found this forum whilst looking at redsnapper tripods. I've got a Canon 400D with EFS 17-85 IS lens. I have just bought a Manfrotto 029 head and I'm looking for a suitable tripod. I was going to get a Manfrotto but I'm now thinking a Redsnapper would be better value. Anyway, nice to have...
