Would anybody recommend the Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 APO EX DG OS as a first lens for a beginner sports photographer? I only have my 18-55mm lens I got with my Nikon D3300 so looking to buy a beginner telephoto lens to get me started on shooting sports.

So you'd probably recommend this to a beginner sports photographer then?

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I don't think this has image stabilization though according to a few reviews which is probably important for a beginner.
