    Macro lens choices

Depends how much money you have got ;). Ive not long bought a Nikon 200 f4 macro and bejeebers its good, sharp all the way across, cant fault it. A bit lower down the scale, but equally impressive, is the Sigma 150mm, stonking lens and works very well with a 1.4tc stuck on the back of it so...

Help with editing software...Picasa issue, now what to buy instead?

I use NX2 and View NX2, with Trnasfer to import files, mainly as they treat Nikon Raws as they should. Best bang for buck I would say would be Elements 8 or 9, just a scaled down version of Photoshop but at an affordable price.

Help - Smashed laptop screen !!!

It should be easy enough to plug a monitor in to see what you are doing. You might also want to take a loook here and see if its worth while replacing the screen. http://www.laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk/laptopparts/

If you are using Firefox you could try this http://www.downloadhelper.net/ grabs video clips, not really put it through its paces but it does work well on Youtube.

    Screen calibration issues

I would go to the Huey website and download the serial checker, then get in touch with them and tell them of your colour cast. There have been a few that have had problems with colour casts, mine included. After a few emails back and forth with Huey / Pantone, it was deemed that my widget was...

    wireless transmitter

Im not sure if there is anything available for the D90. The WT-4 is for the D300 upwards and the WT-3 fits the D200. You might be lucky and come across a third party transmitter but as to whether it would work if you do find one is a different. Apart from that you are probably best getting a...

Desire HD is in da house

Give it a thorough going over as I would be very interested so see how this works in the real world as opposed to reading random online reviews. Ive been debating for a while now between upgrading to the desire HD or the new released Nokia N8, decisions decisions...:bonk::bonk:

    Screen Cleaning

A slightly damp micro fibre cloth, just give it a wipe over then turn it round to a dry bit and wipe again, easy as that. Ive tried all sorts of things that are supposedly good for cleaning screens, some worked ok others just made it worse, so now I just use the above mentioned.

Then click on the top one that says something along the lines of 'change advanced colour management', this will open the cm dialogue box and shows the installed profiles and any others including your Spyder profile, all...

    Graphics Card choice ~ a GTS450 ???

It looks well specd up so you shouldnt have any problems with calibration. I use a GTX260 and have no issues with it at all running dual screen, one with hdmi input.

    Nikon 200mm Macro

Yes ive just bought one. Not really had much chance to play with it but so far it would seem sharper than my old Sigma 150mm, which was no slouch. It is smaller than i'd imagined it to be, but I guess thats down to it being an F/4. Af is slow but then again its not going to be used for its af...

    They're BIG!!! En-el4a & BL-3

The en-el4a's also last for ever and a day, they just keep on going. Ive yet to completely flatten one. So far the most shots ive got out of one is 1366 and it still had 10% left in the battery. Definatley worth the money if you are after extra batteries.
