    Eclipse on film.

Took some B/W shots through my welding glass, dunno how sharp the results would be as the glass was in a helmet and used a zoom at 210mm.......anyway excellent glass for seeing the moon in front of the sun.

    F&C meet up 1st August 2026

Went to a TP meet in Yorkshire over 10 years ago on a 250cc motorbike, and on the M1 it wasn't much fun with lorries going by as I was doing 50mph. :(

    F&C meet up 1st August 2026

Well I would like to come erm but at my age scared to do 100 miles (1hr 40mins M40) on my motorbike in one go as you'll need continuous concentration for idiot drivers on the road and probably fall asleep o_O:(

Would you still take that Photo

Would you still take that Photo? Nah not if you can see a thousand shots of the subject on the net...e.g. Tower of London. What you don't see often is "then and now" shots and have posted a few here...e.g. could be a scene in a village 120 years ago and what it is like now.......erm but unless...

    Eyes

Thanks Wayne but I'm not an expert .....I just think the trick for possible looking 3d landscapes etc is light direction so a rule of the thumb is never shoot at midday and of course what's in the subject helps. And debatable in that I find some lenses give you more luck for 3D?????

erm the annoyance of working in 2D....but there are tricks to make the shot look 3D most by luck.....well for me o_O

    Film photography is dangerous

..and who has tripped with a telephoto lens on their camera and landed camera nose first.........erm me:rolleyes: happened years ago with a Pentax S3, lucky the ground was fairly soft and the 135mm lens was OK but the mounting plate on the camera was bent.

Show us yer film shots then!

Well I never did large B/W prints in the darkroom as too many spot etc..but for 35mm colour film I took a shot with Canon 28mm and superior 200 and my son had a pro lab enlarge it to about 16 X 24???? and what ever tricks the pro did it was fantastic erm well it should be.......framed and cost...

    Nikon FG - weird setting

On the electronic cameras, my F4 and F90x................ the shutter and exposure meter work without winding on to start (No film). Also got a EM but can't be bothered to check without putting in a battery, anyway can't remember if it shows exposure meter reading.

    Nikon FG - weird setting

erm what about if you don't put a film in? My F4 fires etc without film. Can't check my FM as it's developed a fault in that the batteries have started to short out and drain in a few hours

    Loving my film cameras

Well I love shooting film but I'm probably like a few here who have run out of subjects to shoot o_O.....what would I do with a slr or mirrorless digi camera that could take 50,000 shots when I have a job getting through 36 exp on film

Show us yer film shots then!

    (y) There can be "magic" using film with a combo of lens and film, as I have noticed quite a few times the results are better than you see by eye.......esp 3D and with the excitement of seeing the results back from the developers..............erm well OK it can also be worse.:(

Show us yer film shots then!

I've got one like that but thought my shot wouldn't come out nice (just a record shot) so didn't bother to remove my bike :mad:  :$:(

    90's electronic SLR's - metering?

Old and new cameras ? I noticed pointing my cameras at the spagetti type light bulb (forgot what it's called) from a set distance and noticed modern cameras gave the same readings but old cameras were all over the place, but all the same outdoors.....erm well just saying o_O;)
