I was just wondering how a grown adult could be so gullible ;)

    Scammed for Thousands

No-one said there were "thousands of messages", they did however warn you in their terms and conditions, and in payment confirmation emails to only ship to the buyer's registered Paypal address. If you choose not to read these then

    I think she's been conned

Whilst in general I agree with that, if she was sold a 55-200mm DX lens as being suitable for use as a landscape lens on an FX camera then she's either been conned, or, at best, been misfortunate enough to have been served by a salesperson with no understanding of what they are selling.

    I think she's been conned

I'd say so, the 55-200 is a DX lens, and suited to neither the camera, or the intended use....

    Scammed for Thousands

Even back then, in fact especially back then, Paypal were at pains to warn people never to send goods out to addresses that weren't registered with them. It was a classic scam...

brolly flash with tripod bush & gun accessory shoe

That was the problem, it wouldn't hold the flash securely. I can't remember which one it was though, it may have been the SB900, which has a thicker than normal foot. Either way, it wouldn't clamp down securely and, as I said, there's better out there for the same money.

Again, why on earth would you do that, Paypal make it crystal clear only to ship to the registered address. If someone asks for it to be sent elsewhere I insist that they add that address to their Paypal account before sending payment, so that the transaction is covered. If they've already sent...

You should be able to pick one up in Ebay, but if you can't drop me a pm and I'll dig one out for you

I'll have to agree to differ with you there, I've also got one of these, and a Manfrotto ( and a few other makes as well) and these are probably the worst of the lot, save the one with the plastic coldshoe.Even at that price level there are far better out there.

    That umbrella adapter is junk.

brolly flash with tripod bush & gun accessory shoe

All you need is a spigot and an umbrella adapter and you can use a tripod, but unless it's an unusually tall tripod or your model is always going to be seated then the lighting might be a little, err "odd". A Konig stand from Ebay or Amazon is pretty cheap and far better than faffing around...

    best gloves?

Does anyone in the UK actually sell these? The only place I've been able to find them is from Chinese Ebay seller HKBNS
