I'm trying to calibrate the dynamic range of my Leica M using the Sekonic L758DR. I am familiar with other techniques of meter use but this is what I'd like to achieve.
In fairness, we don't know that Beckham isn't a great photographer. He may be superb. To take any camera into the Amazon isn't a necessity so he must have taken it for personal reasons. I'm giving him the benefit of doubt. As for the bonnie, he seemed to have a genuine feel for motorbikes...
The first shot is lovely and I'd lighten the foreground a bit to bring out some detail. The middle one has no point of focus and is a shot of nice colours. The last one is another shot of nice colours - my eye is led in by the rocks but then it goes nowhere.
Still, none of them are bad photos...
I just got a canon 5D MKII off of cameragearforsale.com. A guy in leeds was selling it at knockdown. I use it with the 24-70 and the 70-300. Minimalist magic.
