I have only shot one wedding which was for an old work colleague last year. I told him that I didn't think I should do it and that he should hire a professional, as I am not experienced in Wedding photography and I didn't want to be responsible if the results didn't live up to expectation. He...

    Hamerton Zoo

Thank you for the comments - appreciate you guys taking the time to reply. Regarding the Meerkat, it was a case of making the best of a not ideal situation... I moved into a position where the solitary small patch of greenery available was behind him. Unfortunately everything else in the...

    Hamerton Zoo

Thanks for the comments. The eye of the kookaburra is sharp, which is where the intended focus was. Although in retrospect I should have stopped down a bit to get more of the entire bird in focus. I have to fight with myself to change this lens from f2!

It is a beaut that's for sure. It's the kind of lens that on paper isn't too versatile, but I find excuses to use it due to the amazing results it can yield. Part Ex'd my 56mm 1.2 for it a while ago and haven't looked back. The extra reach is good obviously, but it focusses much closer than the...

Gorgeous colours! I am starting to be able to spot 50-140 shots a mile off now (not in a bad way!), as a lot seem to feature swirling elliptical Bokeh. Not quite Helios levels, but getting there I reckon! Gives certain shots a real dreamy look.

Poppy by Gareth Edwards, on Flickr These are the type of shots I just love the 35mm 1.4 for! Obligatory cat shot! :fuji:

Mine fell off within 10 mins of me getting my X-T2 out of the box, but once I screwed it back on it has stayed put ever since. I think it must be under tightened when leaving the factory.

I have that combo and it is fantastic! So convenient. Must admit, not tried it on my Fuji yet though.

One of the not so obvious things I love about mirrorless, is not having to micro adjust or calibrate lenses for the AF to be accurate. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I had to micro adjust most of lenses I had for my Canon and nikon cameras... some to the point where they were almost too far out...

Great review Damian! I was only looking at this flash yesterday to consider. As I am only a very casual flash user the slower recycle time doesn't really bother me, but I'm glad to see HSS!
