Tokina 11-20mm lens with Kase magnetic filters

It might be worth contacting Kase. I’ve got the Nikon 14-30mm for my Z7 and opted for the 95mm version, specifically so I could stack 2 filters.

    Scotland Visiting Skye

Rob - Skye gets very busy, even in a ‘normal’ year. If the traffic we‘re getting already this year, over here on the less popular side of the Highlands, then I’d be inclined to wait until September, at the earliest. By mid to late September, midges have packed their wee suitcases and moved to...

    Scotland NC500 update

Single track roads have been badly maintained for years. Many repairs are piecemeal, with holes being filled with leftover tarmac, that compresses and breaks down within weeks. We’ve lived up here for more than 18 years and despite promises that the road will be resurfaced, we’re still waiting...

    Cleaning fungus

I had the same problem with MPB. A lens I’d bought from them in mint condition was, 6 months later, when I tried to sell it back, was refused as it had fungus. I keep my kit in a dry box when not in use and carefully monitor the humidity, so I’m fairly confident that it was present when I bought...

Just to echo what’s already been said, a warm thank you for all your hard work. I wish you well for the future and hope the forums can continue.

    Nikon z7 11

There’s a considerable saving when buying the kit and the lens gets very favourable reviews. I would guess that the NIKKOR lens is quite a bit lighter too? The only drawback I can see is the slower aperture. :)

Congratulations Liverpool on winning the PL .....but..

This is a widespread problem. Last year, volunteers collected 115kg of rubbish from Ben Nevis! The older I get the more disappointed I am in the human race. I know the argument is that only a small percentage cause the mess, but with a large population, it’s a lot of people and a hell of a lot...

    Shameful price gouging

That was about £2 at the beginning of March. Not sure if that included p&p though.

    Shameful price gouging

I wondered if anyone else had noticed key products, like hand washes, being sold on Amazon with a huge mark up? I came across Carex hand wash at over £10 on the Amazon marketplace. Prior to the Pandemic, it was around £2.50. Which UK sent me an email today on the subject and there’s an email...

    Beginner Advice on Next Filters

I think Rob and Mike are right, a Little Stopper would be useful for what you want to achieve. With the 3 stop hard ND, Little Stopper and Big Stopper you’ll have a good range to work with. Don’t forget the CPL will also reduce the light entering the lens by 1 or 2 stops too.

    lightroom

The Photography package includes Lightroom, both Classic and CC and Photoshop. I think you can use the package on 2 machines, but not entirely sure, you can verify that on Adobe’s website. Lightroom and Photoshop are available for iPads too, although I don’t use them as I would hate to do any...

    Scotland Isle of Skye

The locals just call it ‘Slig.’ Works for me!

    Scotland Isle of Skye

We’ve always stayed at Torrin, which is on the road from Broadford to Elgol. Very convenient for sunsets at Elgol, with some great photo opportunities along the road. Easy access to Sleat and Eilean Donan castle, with Sligachan and the Quiraing in reach.

    Lovely story...

Sorry, my wife passed it to me and I didn’t notice how old it was. Oh well, it was new to me. :)

    Lovely story...

With all the doom and gloom around these days, every now and then a heartwarming story appears. This brave young man is terminally ill and loves photography, but until now, has been unable to operate a camera as his fingers have fused together. The BBC got together with a designer and he came...
