    The last days were very warm here. Up to 30°C, maybe even more, not sure. As for pinching their wings: I wouldn't do that, because the risk of damaging their wings and basically sentencing them to death would be too great for me.

    Yesterday I recorded a video of me trying to pick up a damselfly with my finger from an aquatic plant and eventually succeeding. The damselfly stayed for several minutes on my finger and allowed me to record it from up close. Recorded with Nikon 1 V1 and Nikon 1 Nikkor VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6...

    Thank you! Yes, these are damselflies. I wasn't aware that there is a distinction in English between dragonflies and "small dragonflies" aka damselflies. In Serbian (and German, which I also speak) they are called by the same name. Learning never stops. :)

    Very well done! I tried photographing ants, but it's pretty much impossible without focus stacking or cropping heavily.
