What would be the best lens for landscapes on a nikon d800 for around the £300 mark

Do you get much light bleed without the rubber

D800 Has any fitted the fk-17m to the d800 and do you need the eye rubber (dk-19)

I have just bought a d800 and was wondering what is the closest aftermarket to nikons original grip. i have bought meike grips before but the last one i bought from china and it didnt work .It cost £25.00 with a spare battery but it was costing £14 to send back so i just didnt bother as wasnt...

I have used the d 610 for sports and in low light with no isue

Wish I'd never asked about the 24- 85 now

I have used it on my d610 and have had good results

It's hard to justify spending that much for a hobby

i think the IQ on the newer AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR is a lot better than the older model

thanks arclight for the reply, i was reading some articles about the d800 while i have been waiting for it to arrive and most say that if you use lower end glass you would notice every imperfection in the lens and after buying the cam i didnt really want to start changing glass as well. Curently...
