Hi Jukka, It was quite often whilst in open areas like the Eiffel Tower and close crops from a distance for candid people shots. The link you posted has a calculator that I have been messing with and it is a toss up between the 16-85 and 18-105 at the moment. Thanks

Thinking about it, I guess it is the proportional increase in zoom. 200 - 300 is 50%, whilst 300 - 400 is 33%. In contrast 50 - 100 is 200%

Hi Scott, Thanks for the reply. I had found that also, whilst close it isn't exactly what I need. One thing of interest though, at the higher lengths there isn't a lot between them.
