Thank you all for the kind comments,much appreciated.My garden is enclosed by 3 conifer hedges that is an ideal habitat for sparrows and I also have a dead tree covered in ivy that is a magnet for them.The most I have counted at one time was about 70.I also get regular visits from a sparrow hawk
