I'm assuming you were in the Broadgate Estate? It is private land so they can do what they want. They hate people taking photos of their buildings.

hi jenny, thanks for taking a look. Shot this in Mauritius during the mini-cyclone which has just passed through. I shoot a lot of b&w, but this one is interesting as you say, because of the absence of the usual turquoise sea and yellow sand. Where have you come back from?

looks like the 6D is perfect for you. I recently sold my 60D and ef-s lenses to buy a 6D and 16-35mm f/4. So far very pleased. IQ is significantly better and for what i'm doing, the more detail the better (architectural)

so, not 10 mins after posting the above, I get an email link from UK Film labs with my scans ready for download. What a great morning :)

Just an update on this, I received the negs and scans from Photo Hippo Ltd yesterday in the post (only checked the letter box this morning so must have come late). haven't had a chance to study them yet. 6 day turn around is pretty decent. UK Film have stated I will have my negs and scans...

white balance is key! Especially indoors, usually got those warm yellows which can be nice, but for me do not look natural. Another comment on the second photo, it may have been better if you are eye level with your daughter? Try this and see what the difference looks like from shooting eye...
