Batteries ~ Canon and third party?

Even if they're compatible batteries and not as the photo shows they should still work ok. I've had batteries off them for many different Canon cameras, for me and friends, and not had a problem with any of them.

Batteries ~ Canon and third party?

Typical that the one I recommend doesn't make one for your camera. I've just had a google and found this though...

Batteries ~ Canon and third party?

I have had some aftermarket batteries that have been as good as original or even better. Since I got some of the newer Canon camera bodies, which don't seem to recognise most of the aftermarket ones, I've got a bunch of genuine Canon ones. I bought a Hahnel battery for my Canon G3 compact and it...

    Monitor screwed by a fly

I feel for you and know your pain, I had a thunderfly crawling over my monitor last year and decided to pick it up with my finger end, unfortunately it had got under the front screen and was crushed. I was gutted when I realised what I'd done and hoped it would eventually disperse as it...

Lost your camera look on gumtree

Maybe the person who picked up the bag and camera was just going to get their train and didn't have time to find a lost luggage office or fill in the paperwork for handing it to the police. I found a bag in a train station waiting room many years ago just as I was going to board, full of...

    Local Scooter Rally

Some great scoots there Gary and nice shots of them. Loving the orange Lambretta LI in the first pic. I have a red Vespa that's done up similarly with a few less lights.

Recommed a Upgrade to the 55-250 Canon

If you're planning on doing any video work then I'd recommend the 55-250 STM. I got it recently to compliment my 7D MkII and 18-135 STM specifically for videos and the lens is excellent and I've also used it on the 7D MkII for quite a few stills as well and I've found it sharper than the non STM...

    Windows laptop or MacBook Pro

I have a top of the range desktop at home which I built but I recently went for a top end Windows 10 laptop for editing etc. while I'm on the move. I got a Dell 17 5759, 17inch, 2Tb hard drive, 4Gb dedicated Radeon graphics, 16Gb DDR3 ram and Intel Core I7 6500U Dual Core 3.1Ghz with DVD-RW...

    Upgrade from a Canon 1.4TC MK2 to MK3 ?

I used a pair of MkII extenders and eventually updated to the MkIII's for both the 70-200 f2.8 II and the 100-400 II and there is a marked difference in sharpness with both of the extenders on both of the lenses. Just my opinion of course but in my opinion it's worth the investment.

    New Canon 100 - 400 mk 2

I still have the MkI version as well as the MkII and I've compared them on a 70D, 7DII, 6D and 5DIII and there is a noticeable difference in IQ on all those bodies. The 6D seems to work really well with the MkI out of the bodies so the differences are less with that one bet there are still some...

    Upgrading from 550D to 7D2 or 5D3 - Opinions...

The 7D2 is brilliant for fast moving objects such as wildlife and sports and is a great allrounder for everything else. The 5D3 is a brilliant allrounder and will get sports and wildlife just as good but with less reach. The 6D is very capable too, a great allrounder but you might have to work a...

    70-200 f/2.8 IS MK1 Sharpness

I've had both the Mk1 and the Mk2 and while the Mk2 is better the Mk1 was no slouch. I got plenty of sharp shots with the Mk1 on various bodies, indeed much sharper than the 2 examples you've posted. Do you know someone local with another camera to try the lens on to check there isn't a back...

    Canon 6D ...help!!!

Donna, if you're anywhere near Lincoln you are welcome to visit and have a go with some of my lenses and I'll use my 6D and compare shots at the end of the day. Oh dam, just seen you're in Herts, bit of a way unfortunately.

    Sigma 150-500 or canon 100-400nk 1

I've had both of the lenses you're interested in, I had a really good Sigma 150-500 which was nice and sharp and a good Canon 100-400L I which was sharp too. The focus speed of the Canon was slightly faster but the zoom is a push / pull which you might find takes a bit of getting used to. The...

Compare Lens Canon 24-105L glass to Sigma 24-105

After getting a 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8L II pair I put my 24-105 f4L out for redundancy, however a while ago I went for a trip to London for a walk around and a gig so only wanted to take 1 lens. I got the 24-105 out for the day and I got some fantastic shots. This was on a 5D3 at the time though...
