Price isn't really the issue, within reason as I have a lot of kit to sell on to help fund any future purchase, its more about picking the right FX body and judging by this post a D750 seems to be the one to go for. Which is great news, I now have something to aim for. Thank you to everyone...

I was surprised to see a D3s at MPB tonight for around £1275 as I always thought they fetched around the £1800-2000 which is why I hadn't considered one. How do they stack up against the latest technology in the D810 for example ?

Depends on what you mean by low light performance, what sort of work are you doing ? As a music photographer I am permanently shooting in low light. I've found the D7100 can shoot at ISO 2000 or even 2500 and I get better results than I was with a D7000 at ISO 1600. But I guess some of it...

Why were you shooting at 1/200 ? You could have come down on shutter speed and gone up on aperture to get a bigger depth of field.

Unfortunately they don't give the impression of a huge band in a big venue, shooting a little wider gives the impression of scale. The images are a bit 'flat' Perhaps a little lightening around the faces would lift a lot of the images as well as removing some of the spurious distractions in...
