    Laptop for backpacking

Dell XPS are the ultimate backpacking laptops but are very expensive, especially for an i7. It may be worth getting an i5 used as that should be capable of doing everything i need. I think an i7 would be too much risk to loose / get damaged too. I plan on carry an external hard drive to store...

    Laptop for backpacking

Hi all, Looking at heading out on a backpacking trip for 6-9 months. I'd like to take a laptop with me with my main (most demanding use) being Lightroom. (I have a hard copy of LR5) I will of course do the standard googling / watching films but thats pretty standard. I have heard that not...

    Image edit needed please

Hi all, Took a quick snap of two mates on holiday and before I do anything in post, can someone remove the annoying straw for me? Hopefully it can be downloaded from my flickr... https://www.flickr.com/photos/157797441@N07/46994915595/in/album-72157708573262555/ Much appreciated!

    Barcelona GP circuit

No seats, purely roving around. No step ladders either! Was hoping 70-200 with a 1.4tc would be enough but maybe not. Thats essentially 98-280mm. Plus my crop factor on top. Maybe il just take the larger lens and the TC. Hopefully i wont need anything less than 120mm? Can always take a...

    Barcelona GP circuit

Hi all, I will be at Barcelona circuit for the F1 this weekend. What lens recommendations do people have? Im not there for the sole purpose of photography and its also a stag weekend so im keen only to take one larger lens noted below. I shoot on a Nikon crop sensor. I do have access to a...

More 2018 Images from Brands Hatch

Too much over saturation of colours in post. Dial it back, and then back some more

St Michaels Mount - Mono or colour

I would like to see some of the darkness / shows lifted from the mount? I like the clouds, but the shade they throw hasn't done you any favours.

GT Cup & LMP3 Cup Donington Park

I think you have nailed it pretty well there Rich. British GT was great at Brands. I'm really hoping Flick and Jonny can wrap it up. Nice to see the McLaren back. One thing I don't understand is Bob Neville's logic. Why would you run a 2014/2015 spec GTR in the British GT championship knowing...

    Mount Panorama - Bathurst

No-one on the forum has shot this circuit at all? Surprising!

GT Cup & LMP3 Cup Donington Park

Nice work with the shots. Having gone to the event last year at Brands Hatch with around 8 LMP3 cars and being told 'the championship will grow' it was frankly laughable this year having 4 or 5 cars this year. One was wrecked in Quali on sunday so didn't even race. I think there were two...

    Mount Panorama - Bathurst

Hi, Has anyone ever shot at Mount Panorama? What length Lenses are recommended? I have 11-16mm f2.8 16-85mm f3.5 - 5.6 (my travel lens) 35mm f1.8 50mm f1.8 70-200 f2.8 120-300mm f2.8 1.4x TC Tempted to take the two longer reaching lenses plus the TC. Then have my 16-85mm travel lens which...

    British GT from Brands Hatch

I was at Brands for the British GT and can confirm it was a scorcher. The light was incredibly strong and throwing large shadows. Whilst I am happy with some of my shots, they lack clarity in comparison, and also the angles I have are very 'samey'. I guess that's what happens when you are stuck...

    Frecce Tricolori

I really like the composition but find the over saturation of colours at little distracting, particularly the first. Can you dial them back in one photo and repost? Be interesting to see how it effects the impact of the picture.
