    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

Sent one of my R6 in for repair to Canon. A new shutter and wobbly hot shoe sorted. The total cost is £430. Shutter replacement seems cheaper on the R6 compared to my 5dmkiv/iii.

After a lot of playing, i think I've nailed the AF on the R6 mkii. I'm not sure what they changed up the terminology of the settings compared to every other Canon I've had. I'll put around 10K+ worth of images through them over the the next 2 weeks, so ill give a proper review then.

Shot a wedding yesterday using one of the R6's, didn't get time to set the second one up. Please Canon, why don't you let us do the Save settings like the R5! Took around 2500 shots on it. Anyway, I'm a little disappointed with the Mk2. I actually think I prefer the AF on the mk1. It seems to...

2 x R6 MK2s will be landing tomorrow from Panamoz. Looking forward to having a play. I'll send off one of my R6's for repair and report (new shutter/hot shoe) back the costs. I have platinum CPS, so it should be done quickly, provided the parts are in stock. I'm estimating about £700 for the...

Has anyone had their hotshoe repaired? Just wondering what the cost would be to do. Thanks.

Thank you. :) Yeah, the cost isn't too much of a concern, thankfully, I guess it's about which is the best route. From what i see, I'm not gaining a huge amount from the mk2 as I don't shoot video.

Really unsure what to do at the moment. Both my R6's will need the shutter replaced as I'm fast approaching the 300,000 mark. Also, both hot shoes are pretty dodgy. I have no issues with the cameras, I love them, to be honest, so should I get them repaired and carry on using them, trade them in...

Ive shot about 10,000 images on my R6 on 1.5, no issues from me.

I've finally given up on the Samyang 85 1.4 RF. As much as I like the lens, there are a few things that annoy me. The fact that any time that the camera sleeps there is a few seconds where the body thinks the lens is an MF lens before snapping out of it and changing to AF. It's also around...

    32" 4k Monitor Choices

I looked at Eizo but their 32" screens for photographers, which are around £4k+ so we're up at Apple Pro Display territory, and you lose resolution and thunderbolt / USB C and 96w charging which is perfect for the Macbook.

    32" 4k Monitor Choices

I know, its so difficult to know what to do. I've pretty much had to move to a Macbook due to the volume of weddings I have this year so I can edit anywhere, any time instead of being stuck in the studio. It's a shame I can't use the 5k imac screen as a monitor. I am tempted to get a 27"...

    32" 4k Monitor Choices

I'm looking for a 32" 4k+ monitor with high colour accuracy to pair with my Macbook Pro for editing. Below is a list of a few options, but I'm wondering if I've missed some others? I'm currently on a 2019 5k iMac, and would like a little bigger/better. Budget wise, not really sure. I don't have...

I have one. Works great for me. I've not used a huge amount but no complaints from me. R6 I use it on.

Use the minimum shutter speed setting when in auto iso. You can set it to 1/125 or 1/320 or higher depending what you need. I'm auto iso for 90% of the time for weddings.
