I've not personally visited southern Italy, although I may get to visit later this year, I've only traveled to Florence and Siena up north. But from this limited experience and what I've seen online etc., I'm not sure the Italians know how to make a city that isn't perfect to photograph :)
I use an Ortlieb saddle bag (mine's too small for your needs but they vary in size). It's a nice secure clip on/off mount system and waterproof with a simple yet clever zipless closing.
The Susannah shot is fantastic.
I'm always impressed how you match the subject to the background, but matching her eyes to the background you've outdone yourself this time :)

I swapped my Olympus E-M1 for a DF a couple of weeks ago. I've not had a huge amount of time to use it due to work (just the butterfly farm meet) but it's one hell of a camera. Noticeably smaller and lighter than the D700 I had previously, though not as easy to hold as that or the E-M1. I've not...
After the Meet at Stratford-Upon-Avon today I now realise this thread needed less info about steamed up cameras and more warnings about steamed up photographers :p
I only live up the road from Ironbridge, I was racking my brains as to where you shot No.1 from and then suddenly the other 2 shots cleared it all up for me :)

You can see that you obviously connect well with people, everyone looks so at ease, and the mini interviews add so much more to the portraits than you would think 1 or 2 questions could ever do.
I'm guessing he's the Simon who bought the nicely priced one on the e-group forums :)
