Where does she get the time to play it? Good to hear. I'm more of a WII girl myself :)

Maybe it's the male coping mechanism to keep that inner child alive? You're not supposed to cry or show emotion as that is classed as a weakness, so instead you hold on to something that makes you feel carefree and able to forget the pressures of every day living. With that thought in mind I...

    No Kids Allowed

I'm not sure I would say all the people in that queue were adults. The first 3 in the queue I would put between 16 and 18, so teenagers. A lot of them look student age and a few more mature, but you know this might sound sexist, but men never really grow up. Do they? I'm not saying that as a...

    Beginner Big stopper

This is a totally different place. The last picture was taken at the Crumlin Waterfall and this time I was at the Tollymore Forest. I decided that I needed to focus purely on achieving the water effect that I wanted this time and I was not looking at this as a composition, so it is lacking in...

    Beginner Big stopper

I've had another go and I think I have finally cracked it. I used Nikon D90 this time and had all the right bits with me. I used my big stopper with settings on bulb and exposure was 2 minutes and F10. I had the eye hole cover and an external remote. Conditions were over cast.

    Nikon D90

Thanks, that was handy. I just got a d90 body and the shutter count is 2695, so not bad for a second hand camera. :)

I could swap it for a D3000 Nikon body? Who could resist that?

So... who wants to give me their old D90? *smiles*

I really need to upgrade. It's a bit baffling with so many different types of camera, especially when you are eclectic in nature.

    Nikon D90

I recently attended a meeting with Helen Sloane who is the documentary photographer for Game of Thrones. She said that she started out with a Nikon D90, so I imagine it's a pretty cool camera. I've got a D3200 and would love to update on that, but money isn't flowing at the moment. I would...

I agree with you on most of what you say, although I think it would be difficult to do your first point, as you have a mixture of amateur and professional photographers in the running and an amateur would not necessarily know or understand the procedure, which would put them in an unfair...

I think he was bribing them with a bag of sweets earlier so likely gave them something for their participation and likely he bought the flag. The staging was only classed as a failure as it 'looked' staged. If he had managed to make it look more 'natural' it would have been fine and that was...

I was surprised that Gabriele one mostly due to being pulled up twice for staging photo's and not making them believable. To do that again at this late stage means that he has learnt very little through out the whole process. I also noted (although maybe mistaken) that they did not use Marta's...

I assume they don't want the mentor to influence the photography and as they all get split up it would be difficult to give them all equal time during the process. After the fact makes more sense for many reasons.
