    Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 V tamron 24-70 f/2.8 vc

I am considering 28-75 for my 6D as I am looking to shrink my lens numbers and costs. It's really appealing to me because the relatively compact size, fast aperture, good price, long warranty and reports of fair IQ. I am just wondering about the auto-focus. I know it won't be up to USM type of...

    Canon 28-70 or 24-70

Most reviews said it is very close to 24-70 MK2, so it should be as good as old Canon versions if not actually better...

    Which Raynox?

Actually, there is a good reason to go for 150 - it has less magnification hence it is easier to work with.

Good lens choices for a 5D mark iii ??

You might want to take a look at Tamron 70-200 f2.8 VC too.

    HDEW CAMERAS anyone used them?

Well, the feedback will be postponed for now. The issue with the camera disappeared in its own and after discussing with the service they have advised to use it and contact them again if the error comes back. Hope it will not...

    Canon 6D Issue

Thanks for the reply guys. I am using only genuine batteries. I have one Tamron lens, but everything else is Canon too. I am quite confident it's not the lens or the battery. Today camera is working flawlessly again. It is a grey import but the retailer told me to send it to authorized Canon...

    Canon 6D Issue

I've got a bit of weird issue with my Canon 6D. Two days ago it refused to work with shutter speeds slower than 1/30. Although it took pictures, it also displayed "Error 30" and the exposure was not correct. This error stands for shutter mechanism problem. I have tried turning on/off, removing...

    HDEW CAMERAS anyone used them?

I got my 6D from them at June 2013. It has just developed a fault - Error 30 if shutter speed is lower than 1/30. I have emailed hdew yesterday and today they replied with instructions to send the camera to Johnstones. That was quick response and so far so good. Finger crossed this will go...

    Canon 20-35mm f/2.8 or Alternative?

That's the best thing of Canon system, there is a lens choice! :)

    Everyone switching to Canon ....

Hope not. We don't really want just one major player to remain. Especially in these extremely difficult times on camera market. We, as consumers, will lose a lot if Nikon fails (btw I own Canon system at the moment).

    Nikon 70-200 vs Tamron 70-200 f2/8

If you're not a brand snob you'd be more than happy with Tamron.

    Canon 20-35mm f/2.8 or Alternative?

If 24mm is wide enough, take a look at Canon EF 24mm f2.8 IS USM. Compact, light, fast, stabilized, well made, excellent IQ, cheep on filters and within the budget.

    The future of photography.

I think this article illustrates the direction very nicely: "Smartphones versus DSLRs versus film: A look at how far we've come" As some already suggested, I am also inclined to believe it would become two-tiers market: phone cameras and big sensor interchangeable SLR-likes. Looking at what...

    Canon 6D or 70D?

Although 6D is great for low light, I think for wildlife and macro 70D would be more appropriate. It has better auto-focus system and considerably more reach. Also should not be ignored, this choice will end up notably cheaper, since no lenses have to be changed.

    Nikon Df....First images

Looks nice, but also a bit busy with all of these dials and buttons spread around. There would be a compromise with the usability just to make it feel retro...
