Flash Triggers for Canon 5d4 and speedlights

** Or get two Godox radio receiver units, pop them on the bottom of each Canon gun, and add a Godox radio master trigger. You'd then be plugged into the Godox system with a vast range of future options. Phottix might be a similar alternative. ** Great minds eh, after posting yesterday I hit...

Flash Triggers for Canon 5d4 and speedlights

Hi, I am a bit confused. I need a set of flash triggers to work with my 580 ex ii and 430EX III-RT fired from my Canon 5d3 or 5d4. The issue I have is that I've read that the 5d4 has issues with some triggers sets. All I need is to wireless control the 2 flashes, TTL would be good as a backup...

What photo editing software would you recommend me please?

Yep start with Adobe and you cant go wrong, Ive been using Lightroom since V3 and now have the full CC package but the photo package is around £10 per month but its gets updated regularly. My workflow is built around Adobe and does everything I need.

Canon 5D MKIII official owners/users thread, anything related to the 5D MKIII

I use 2 5dmk3's for gigs, both without grips as the extra weight ;while it might not seem much makes a big difference over a weekend festival. I'm used to shooting portrait with them and even in the busiest pit I don't have issues. I also use a twin harness to balance the weight on my shoulders.

    Gig photo advice

Yep never a truer word said, had all that happen to me. You forgot to add having hair pulled whilst in sitting in the pit and beer and fags dropped on yer head. I tend to wear a beanie now to stop some of this :-) Oh, also getting kicked when the crowd surfers come over or getting shoved out of...

    Gig photo advice

I shoot for a few webzines unpaid in money but paid in the free tickets and +1's I get and also get to meet with the artists if I interview them. Like the OP I do it for the love of the music but I do know a lot of togs who do it for a living and wont shoot for free. (buts that's no the debate...

Seeking Advice re Lens Choice for Gigs

I suppose it really depend on what type of shot your after. I see so many gig shots that are no more than a portrait of a musician that could be anywhere. Yes there good to see but don't really convey any of the "live ness" of a gig but then again this also depends on the type of music. I...

Which modes on your camera do you use?

In which case there's actually no need for this forum at all, as everyone already knows everthing. Yes it might be a pointless thread for some but for people that are still learning it might push them to try something different and learn new techniques by what they read. Maybe one day we...

Nice toploader for Gripped 650d and 100-400L

I have a one, never used apart from to check the size and can confirm that it will take a gripped 7D and a 70-210 or 100-400. There may well be one up for sale in a few days if you look in the classified.

    7d 100-400

Ive used the same setup but Ive now solf the 100-400. There should be no issues at all with the match. You can try -selector on lens for minimum focus distance -set spot metering and select the center focus point and check that is on the target the kit should focus ok in ambient light...

    Camera sling straps?

Depends where your using them, in a busy photopit with two cameras as long as you set the lenghts of the slings correctly there so easy to use. I used to use the supplied strap but they can be too cumbersome and have a habit of slipping off your shoulder. This is my personal experience but make...

    Camera sling straps?

I also shoot gigs and use 2 Blackrapid RS 7's on a 5dmk3(24/70) and a 7d(70/210) both ungripped. Works great for me and can be comfortable even f working a long day festival. Although I have considered changing or modifying them to be a harness so there is no strap crossing at all.
