    New Skills For '06

I'd certainly be up for a masterclass, always willing to learn, very good of you to offer Arkady! a) I'd love to vastly improve my landscape shots. I need to learn and put into practice better composition as well as using natural light. b) I'm with fingerz on this one. I love candid shots...

    Finally some new photos!

I think the multi coat ones are the proverbial 'dogs' but a lot more moolah than I paid for mine.

    Skate park dude!

You've got some good candid action shots there. Perhaps would have been an idea to use shutter priority with a lower shutter speed and track the subjects while taking the shot to give the background a nice motion blur.

    Finally some new photos!

I must have bought a cheap polariser as that is taken with a HOYA circular polariser. I think some photoshop work wouldn't go amiss on that one...

    Finally some new photos!

I've been rather busy the past few weeks with moving house. Finally managed to make some good use of the decent weather on Saturday.

    Murder case

IIRC, she claimed Murdoch flagged them down, and Peter Falconio got out the car and was shot by Murdoch who then held the gun to Joanne Lees and forced her out the car. But yeah, myself and a lot of people I know remain dubious about the whole thing.

    Hoya filters?

Thanks for the replies. It will be going on a 17-85mm IS USM, about £450 worth of lens so I might stump up a little more moolah :thumb:

    Hoya filters?

This maybe a daft queation, but... I've been looking around for a 67mm polarising filter for landscape shots, and Hoya seem to make some of the cheapest. In this instance, is it 'you get what you pay for'? Would I be better off looking at more expensive makes? I don't really want to spend a lot...

    First attempt at macro

I'm trying to teach myself to use MF as much as possible in handheld macro shots as I find my 50mm f2.5 tends to hunt a lot on very close shots. Also it's very noisy! Not at all. Steve's edit has given me a chance to hone my PS skills some more as I would never thought of it myself :thumb...

Canon ef 28-105 f3.5/4.5 USM metal mount

I presumed that the design of the lens itself would either alow it or not. If you can do it, and the lens wasn't designed to allow you to, then I would suggest the lens is FUBAR?

    Monitors

I tend to find that the brightness of an image displayed on an LCD changes slightly as you pan up and down the screen (such as when scrolling an image from top to bottom) which can sometimes be a pain when image editing. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I going slightly mad? :nut:
