    Light tent options

Thanks for that. It's not? Would you mind making some suggestions? The shots will be mainly of my partner's work for gallery shots, competitions and web sales.

    Light tent options

Alright all? I'm looking for a light tent for shooting anything from tiny jewelry up to laptop sized objects, budget under £50. I'm considering this: http://www.thedigitalcamerashop.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2933 this: http://www.stevesphotoshop.co.uk/light_tent_cube_80cm.html...

    mother and son..

Personally I prefered the original, though the child's eyes are a little too far over on the 'bottomless pools of black/satan's eyes' for me right now. I know conventional thinking is that B&W should feature full white to black contrast, but I reckon the more muted greys suit the subject...

    Petzl Tikka XP

Petzel Myos are excellent, I use a three band Myo 3 for trail-running at night. Any Petzel torch will do you fine really, and the build quality make them worth the money imho.

Strobist style flash and umbrella brackets?

The ones I in speedgraphic were in stock when I checked, but 2x mounts, 2x hot shoe adaptors and 2x umbrellas comes to £93...

Strobist style flash and umbrella brackets?

Its the overtightening bit that I was worried about. I'll be using this kit fairly intensively and don't want to be worrying about such an important part snapping or performing under par. Has anyone got any experience with alternitives? Worst case scenario I'll just buy a spare one, but I do...

    Branscombe Beach

To echo the above comments, it could do with a little more contrast. don't overcook it thogh, as for my tastes youve nearly nailed it already. I do quite like the composition though. It's certainly not conventional and I'm not sure how it would stand up if compared side by side with an...

Strobist style flash and umbrella brackets?

Hi all. I've putting together a strobist style lighting setup, and I've got everything sorted except for umbrellas and umbrella adaptor heads for the stands. As far as I can tell my choices are limited to either the cheapo ebay jobby of dubious providence and build quality, or the more...

    Robert White

Just a quicky. Order a set of Skyports online from Robert White at 4:30pm, they arrived at 9:30am the next day packaged inside the strongest box I've ever come across, with security tape over every edge. Excellent, excellent service, and they were the cheapest around as well.

    Kata bags

As said before, they are that price for a reason, and that reason is design, build and ergonomics... and yellow. ;)

Best place to get a polariser?

I've beens using a Marumi 77mm CPL on a nikon 12-24. It's an excellent filter and shows no sign of vigenetting. (It's thinner than my Hoya Pro UV filter!) Takes a cap fine as well.

    Zeiss Ikon Nettar ....

I use a Zeiss Ikonta 521 fairly regularly, it's another MF camera, this time fromt the early 40s. All I know is that I have one in good condition, and it takes lovely photos. Enjoy it!
