    My Daugher (again)

Right, I now have a white shoot through umbrella and a second 430ex2. I have never used two flashes before so not really got any clue what I am doing - this is what I have so far... Comments and thoughts please. 1. White shoot through to my left and reflected umbrella top right...

I thought the vignette looked ok... will remove it and see what the look like.. The first picture, the flash is off to the right about 1.5 meters, facing away from the subject into a silver umbrella. The rest, I moved the flash so I was sitting mostily underneath it. Still pointing away...

Had another go with a reflected umbrella to get photos of my daughter. I think I really need a second flash to balance the light a bit more. Thoughts and comments? _MG_0852.jpg by Paul Crate, on Flickr _MG_0875.jpg by Paul Crate, on Flickr _MG_0897.jpg by Paul Crate, on Flickr...

Thanks for the commnet... I will try the focus and recompose method as well, but getting my daughter to stay in the same place long enough is a bigger challenge!!!

I was using 1.8 for these (50mm 1.8). I guess I should have not been quite so open really... I plan to mess about a bit more if my flash (off camera) to see if I can improve things.. I think I always try and keep my lens wide when indoors to keep the shutter speed nice and fast, but looks...

Cheers for the comments. Looks like I new storey and work on my focus points at low apertures then! Practice practice! :)

Oh, I thought I did better than that. :-( I struggle to see that the are out of focus to be honest. I think I was fighting with a shallow depth of field but could have increased it given the use of the flash
