    First attempts at macro

I'm trying to relearn how to do macro (long story) and agree that being able to add light is essential (pieces of glossy white, silver and card are an easy option to bounce different warmth of light back). I've never used the stacking of multiple photos technique so will have to look into that...

    Disabled Photography

I'm in need of some help. I had to have some major upper spinal surgery that's left me with some physical limitations, basically I can't walk without crutches, can't walk far without needing to sit down and when stood struggle for balance. This has stopped me doing pretty much any of the...

    L-Mount Alliance Owners Thread

What would people's thoughts on adding a Panasonic 14-28 and 70-300 to the S5 and 20-60 kit? I'm not really gelling with the Sigma 70mm macro so would use the 70-300 to start with. I'm not sure what I can and can't manage so want an all-round kit (landscapes, Motorsports, urban landscape, macro...

    L-Mount Alliance Owners Thread

I've not owned a camera for a few years but an injury has severely limited my options for hobbies and interests I can manage physically. So I've bought. Panasonic S5 with 20-60 kit lens and a Sigma 70mm macro. I have a quick question for any of the long term S5 owners, what software gives the...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Just bought an A6000, samyang 12/2, sigma 30/1.4 and Nikon AIS 55 macro to start taking images again after a lengthy break from photography. Any tips to getting the best out the A6000 for landscape, portraits and family/holiday use? I was thinking of picking up the 16-50 kit lens for casual use.

I'm impressed with the A7, got a couple of old lenses and had some great results plus an enjoyable way of shooting.

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

I'd be using a 5d mk2 and have the option of borrowing the odd ef lens for personal use and was asking if the performance is worth the cost of a good adapter....

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

I've just bought an A7 and a couple of Canon FD lenses, what I'd like to know is how the A7 works with Canon EF lenses as I may be doing some second shooter work in the near future and the wedding 'tog uses Canon.

    Mountain biking with a DSLR

I hadn't thought about it until now, then wondered if this was the right place to do so. It's the larger 200, orange and well used, could go for £25 plus p&p

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

Unfortunately my wallet doesn't agree :dummy: I already have the 45mm, 12-50 and 40-150 so the A77 sale will pay for most of the other lenses. Even if I sold everything bar the OM-D I'd still come up short of cash

When the Sony A77 is sold I think I've come up with a complete lens list for my needs. Lightweight kit in Billingham - OM-D with half grip, 12-50, 40-150R and 45mm Full kit in Domke F2 - OM-D with full grip, 9-18, 12-50, 20mm, 45mm and 100-300 I like the options this gives me for casual...

It could but I think you have to hold the button down. Could lead to some interesting finger gymnastics. I only use it for landscapes so its not too big a deal to set it up for a shoot and then disable at the end
