Using the YN-460 II as a slave

If no one knows the answer, does anyone have an educated guess as to weather it will work or not?

Using the YN-460 II as a slave

I currently use a canon 580EX but would like to buy a second flash. I dont have the money I used to and was considering the YN-460 II. The 580EX is triggered remotely when my on camera flash fires. Would the YN-460 II work with the 580EX as a slave? Basically I guess i'm trying to find out...

    ACDSee - colours seem richer?

Sorry for that last question, immidatly after pressing submit, I realised that it must have been reducing the contrast, I was correct, but, why?

    ACDSee - colours seem richer?

I hope I am describing this issue correctly. I am viewing my images in 'ACDSee' when viewing them they seem to be much richer colours (e.g. blacker blacks, deeper blues etc) than when I go to edit them, weather I go to edit them in ADOBE photoshop or edit them inside the 'ACDSee' editor. Why...

    looking at wireless triggers

Hi, I am looking through Ebay at various wireless triggers as I have heard that it is possible to use different bands of flash when you attach one of these...is this right or am I getting mixed up? If it is correct would a cheap trigger do so I can get used to working with them and see if it...

    studio flash kit

So I have been making some incorrect assumptions then. I may have my information completely wrong by sounds of this. My understanding is that a studio flash is basically a bigger more powerful brother of a speedlite, is that bit correct? My understanding of the speedlite is the power of the...

    studio flash kit

in that case why would I buy a studio head? I am of the understanding they are more powerful, but that extra power would only serve to overexpose my shots if my camera can only sync to 1/250:thinking:

    studio flash kit

Do studio strobe lights have a maximum sync speed? if so what is that speed? e.g max sync of my canon speedlite is 250(or have i got that wrong/a way of improving the sync speed?). My next question is what is the difference between them? what do you get for your money? I am looking at...

    Mixed lighting

I never even considered the pop up flash, I try to use it as little as possible this is one of the images: I think it was one of the better ones as far as the lighting goes, but any good shots were purely out of luck and not skill.

    Mixed lighting

I have just been trying to shoot a photo of my dog in my back garden for a project I have come up with. In doing so I noticed a serious gap in my photography knowledge, "how do you shoot in mixed light?" in this case it was bright sunshine (no clouds), which caused shadows in the area the dog...

    rear curtain sync

okay, that makes sense now. Any suggestion on how to keep the same effect but have no transparancy for the moment the flash fires? I assume photoshop, but would a second photo need to be taken or is there another way?
