Thanks a lot for the comments, it was only my second time using the globe. It can be a bit fiddly to line up and focus in the dark but it does give a different aspect to lightpainting :)

I made it from parts ordered on Ebay. No soldering, just electrical tape & sellotape ;) Buy rgb led light strip from fleabay (5050 type is brighter). Buy RF remote control set, some strip light connectors, some 9v battery's, some 9v battery connectors and the little adapters to put the 9v wires...

I use manila rope for this :) Obviously there are lots of different sorts of rope that you could use. I bet the nylon rope was an interesting mess!

That's a bit thought provoking for me because I specifically wanted to have somebody forefront in the picture because normally when lightpainting I have the person in silhouette due to the constraints of a long exposure. Popping a flash at them brings them into the image far more. As I say, it...

Matthew, I saw your orb tool in one of the previous threads, have you considered using LED RGB strip lighting with a remote control (the RF type as opposed to the IR). I have gone over to using this set up as it has the advantage that you can easily change colours and there is NO wire to break...

Hmm not very good at hand stands but if you think it will help I'll give it a go ;) Actually You have a good point I don't like to duplicate as such, I like to master the technique and then adapt it, and I guess in a way I did. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement :)
