    Crystal ball and wool spin

Thanks a lot for the comments, it was only my second time using the globe. It can be a bit fiddly to line up and focus in the dark but it does give a different aspect to lightpainting :)

    RGB STRIP LED's

Well, I enjoy buggerin about at nights with lights, most times it does come out a bit weird because you are modifying what is in front of you by using light. Your not taking a picture of reality as such. As I said above, I just wanted to incorporate a person into the picture in a more realistic...

    RGB STRIP LED's

I made it from parts ordered on Ebay. No soldering, just electrical tape & sellotape ;) Buy rgb led light strip from fleabay (5050 type is brighter). Buy RF remote control set, some strip light connectors, some 9v battery's, some 9v battery connectors and the little adapters to put the 9v wires...

    Trial by Fire

I use manila rope for this :) Obviously there are lots of different sorts of rope that you could use. I bet the nylon rope was an interesting mess!

    RGB STRIP LED's

That's a bit thought provoking for me because I specifically wanted to have somebody forefront in the picture because normally when lightpainting I have the person in silhouette due to the constraints of a long exposure. Popping a flash at them brings them into the image far more. As I say, it...

    My Light Painting Evolving

Matthew, I saw your orb tool in one of the previous threads, have you considered using LED RGB strip lighting with a remote control (the RF type as opposed to the IR). I have gone over to using this set up as it has the advantage that you can easily change colours and there is NO wire to break...

Some Abstracts..feel free to add yours!

I Used a 60d in bulb mode with a tamron 18-270 zoom, but just zoomed in to a point where I thought it would give a good image. then put it on manual focus and took it out of focus and waited for a likely victim. When the rocket goes up you can sort of see it through the blurry haze in the...

    Firework flower

Hmm not very good at hand stands but if you think it will help I'll give it a go ;) Actually You have a good point I don't like to duplicate as such, I like to master the technique and then adapt it, and I guess in a way I did. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement :)

    Firework flower

There ya go, so whilst I like my pic it sorta pales into insignificance next to those. That's what I was trying to do ;) Oh well back to the drawing board till next year ;)

    Firework flower

Thanks for your kind comments, its very kind of you to take the time :) If you do a search for 'firework flower photography' you will see what I was trying to do. This picture is nice, and I am pleased with it, but I found the technique a bit more difficult than I thought. Mind you the display...
