Anyone got a clue about CEWE?

Thanks. I ended up using Photobox again...(not great quality). I think that overall, Cewe's software (using their site) is far better than Photobox. My only problem is the scaling issue detailed here. After posting here, I went back and found that it was only occurring with certain photos, yet...

Anyone got a clue about CEWE?

Hi, For the last few years I've made a book of photos via Photobox for the grandparents. PB is not the greatest quality, but they're happy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I've missed their deadline (12th if you want decent quality) and am struggling to use Cewe (only because the deadline is...

    Canon 5D4 to Canon Connect

Thanks I am on Android. It doesn't give an option to delete the connection; either it sees it and asks for PW, or it doesn't if camera is off. Connect has never worked well and always been clunky. This update started asking for a PW and it has never connected since. It seemed to happen after the...

    Canon 5D4 to Canon Connect

Hi, I have been using Connect for a couple of years and it has been clunky but just about bearable. I noticed an update a few weeks back, and no longer can connect. When I open the app on phone, it asks for a password. However, I have no idea where to find the password. I have never assigned a...

    E-Infinity .....is it safe?

I am not passing judgement on anyone (having used EI myself), but if they are telling the customer they can't issue a VAT invoice, then something isn't right - simple as that. No goods can materialise star trek-style. Either the VAT is paid or it isn't. And if they are giving you flannel when...

    E-Infinity .....is it safe?

Firstly I should say that I have returned items to them with no problems. Support is good. However, I was buying from them before the penny dropped in my head as to how they operate. As someone who imports and exports daily I have many years experience in arcane customs procedures. In short...

    Canon 50mm lens... which one?

NB - the STM AF motor is super fast as well. If you get the sigma do let us know if its AF is as reliable as the bargain STM.

    Canon 50mm lens... which one?

In a 5D4, my 50mm STM has a more reliable AF through VF than my L lenses. I've never felt the need to micro-adjust it - it has always worked flawlessly. I believe it is the world's best selling prime. My biggest bugbear is that I need to shoot objects with lots of straight angles, and the...

WB Issue - Grey turns Blue

NB - I have a set of Elinchrom for serious work. However, most of my work is quick snaps that need turning around quickly, I.e. emails to clients / instagram etc. The only times I've had any issues with the 5d4 have been WRT black / grey items turning blue - and this has happened outdoors (I.e...

WB Issue - Grey turns Blue

While using LV mode, I tweaked WB manually until the screen reflected the scene. There is some white in the scene, albeit in background. Thanks

WB Issue - Grey turns Blue

NB - One thing I've loved about the 5D4 is the way the AWB doesn't get freaked out by fluorescent lighting. Some of my best work has come from it - which I could never have imagined before. My old Nikon was totally spooked by fluorescent and would need extensive work in post.

WB Issue - Grey turns Blue

Hi, One of the reasons I use the 5D4 is that I get good colours (people and objects) straight of the camera, which work for my needs without editing in SW. When I first got the 5D4, I found the AWB setting made blacks turn blue and I wasn't happy unless I went fully manual for every setting...

    Advice Needed NEW CAMERA?

If you plan to shoot children running around, you will need 1/1000 sec shutter speed. If your aperture setting is smaller than, say F2.8, you will need a lot of light to prevent noise- even in FF format. If your kids are running around on the beach in the sun, great - you can have 1,250 sec at...

    Nikon D800 or D7200?

Funny you should say macro. It's the only reason I keep my D7100, as I have a super-cheap-but-excellent Sigma macro lens. I don't do macro often enough to justify a lens for my FF system, so the 7100 is useful for this. Sigma 50mm F2.8 DG can be yours secondhand for 100 quid. If you can live...

    Nikon D800 or D7200?

Not only will the D800 give noticeably better performance at higher ISOs (even on highly compressed web stuff like instagram), but you will have access to a vastly larger selection of lenses at 1:1 ratio. It will also be more future proof as you develop your hobby. As an owner of a D7100 I can...
