One little tip is to tilt the camera slightly to make the baby look like its lying up hill. I don't think, as in the last one, a baby lying down hill, however little looks right. This could be just me

You have to ask whats important. reach vs wide angle and low light. if you need the wide angle but are thinking if going full frame soon you have the 17-40 F4 L

I use to have one and i now have the F2.8 IS. The F4 is a cracking lens. Very sharp, quick to focus and very light to carry around

I have a 1DX and a 5D MKII which never ever gets used. So i think i will sell it (5) and get a 70D, why the better focusing (i hate the 5'S) more reach with the 1.6 sensor, tilting screen and the pop up flash when im out and about with the family.

Im now in the cloud at just over £8 a month it was a no brainer. The latest version of lightroom reduces the need to go into PS. The big step was the spot tool becoming more than just a spot.
