I understand wanting to use primes but not manual focus. Weddings have changed since we used MF. I use to give the couple 50-80 photographs so i had time to MF, my average now is 500-750.
Is this not why we love wedding photography. Its challenging, if every weeding had great looking couples, venues and weather how dull would that be. I always try to give my self time to talk to the registrars especially if I'm working away from my home patch. The reason they can some times be so...
Its a nice photo well lit. The little niggle is the wonky skirting board. Its like a wonky horizon in the back ground. If you have cropped it try re-cropping and straighten the image. Apart from that well done
I would defiantly ask for proof that he has done everything in his powers to recover the files. As others have said you can pay specialist to strip and repair and then recover the photographs. I don't know any photograph that does not back up their files. I do however know lots who have three...
One thing to remember if you do go along is only take photos that don't matter. What i mean by that is, if the brides parents come up to you and ask for a shot of them as a couple, say i'll just get the main photographer as I'm only the assistant. You may take 300 great photos but the one photo...
I have but only because it was cheap and to stop other people using it. I wonder if you use one now would people get it. I will wait to see if any .photography start appearing on google

Well done but you should always shoot safe at a wedding. Yes push it but you need to get the shot. So moving shots at 1.4 for me is a no unless the shot is not important. You may get it right most of the time but most of the time is not good enough in wedding photography. If you hire a lens i...
You have to ask whats important. reach vs wide angle and low light. if you need the wide angle but are thinking if going full frame soon you have the 17-40 F4 L
I have a 1DX and a 5D MKII which never ever gets used. So i think i will sell it (5) and get a 70D, why the better focusing (i hate the 5'S) more reach with the 1.6 sensor, tilting screen and the pop up flash when im out and about with the family.
Im now in the cloud at just over £8 a month it was a no brainer. The latest version of lightroom reduces the need to go into PS. The big step was the spot tool becoming more than just a spot.
