Single shot from the other morning when I produced the panoramic image uploaded previously here.

A much different feel to this image which was made after the sun had come up when conditions were extremely dull and overcast except for a few slight breaks in the cloud just above the horizon, and it was beginning to rain... again! I was hoping for crepuscular rays to shine down on Corus, but it didn't happen.

Anyways, here we go...

Taken again with the 70-200. As ever, your thoughts and comments are always welcomed and appreciated, and I'll always attempt to return the favour by commenting on your work.

I like that very much Lee. May be a little too dark and busy in the foreground for some people, but I reckon it works well.

excellent very moody shot like the foreground , would not change anything

That's a great shot Lee. Superb sky and great composition.

Are there any rigs still stacked at Able Seaton ? and how are the "ghost ships" coming along - I'd guess they must be pretty much dismantled by now ?

Hmm... the darkness is actually a browser colour management issue. There is more shadow detail when I view the original and jpeg in PS CS4, but when I open it in Firefox, the blacks are quite badly clipped.

very moody shot

Thanks Pete... I almost binned the shot because I wasn't happy with the overly blown sun, but thought I'd try giving it a polish. Glad it works for you. :)

Good question... I haven't a clue! I remember getting a couple of shots when Clemenceau came into the Tees, but haven't really heard anything since.

Really like how youv`e caught the sky and sea but I do find the fg a little dark...

Not really keen on those big black borders either I`m afraid. They kinda take away from the shot imo.

Only thing for me it it seems darker than your normal stuff Lee and I think I see haloing on the buildings. otherwise very nicely taken.

I like this a lot.............Cracking shot and looks very nice. I would picture this on the cover of an album.............the kind of urban shot people like Chris Rea would use.

Yeah this is good work.

i like this picture nice and sharp even though its a bit dark.

Many thanks for commenting.

Hmm, I think I can see what you mean on the big solid rectangular container thing. I've just opened up the original CR2 file and it's exactly the same on there... so must be some sort of natural thing with the light. TBH I never really check for halos as I don't really do selective editing. Might be something to look for in future.

Great, if you wouldn't mind mentioning it to him, it'd be a good sale. :)
