I don't think I have shown my 'test results' with a new lens I was given by a Good Camera Club / FLICKR Mate -- a Canon FD 135mm f3.5 so here are some taken on my Canon A-1 ----

A new edit of an image shot in 1987 with a Canon AE-1 and slide film, probably with a 135mm lens.
The original had lots of telephone wires in the foreground and it's only now, 36 years later, that I've been able to easily remove them using the Remove tool in Photoshop.

My first roll of ECN-2 film. Kodak Vision 3 200T respooled by Analogue Revival. Developed and scanned by SilverPan Film Lab

Weirdly I've never shot an ECN-2 process film before but I bought some a few months ago and I needed to test a Minolta AF-T point and shoot so popped one in. 200T is tungsten balanced and I shot it in daylight so I expected the blue cast to be stronger. Seems to have a lot of grain. Although it's a colour neg film it reminds me a lot of pre E100 Ektachrome.
The good news is the camera seems to work!

One from the back catalogue! Probably early to mid 80s. When I was young and foolish (as opposed to old and foolish) and could stand cold nights!

The constellation Cassiopeia.

Kodak Ektachrome 400, 5 minute guided exposure.
Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 and Olympus OM-1 mounted piggyback on a telescope.

Intersection of
  • red lines: NGC 884 and NGC 869, the double cluster in Perseus
  • yellow lines: NGC 663, the Letter S cluster
  • orange lines: the open cluster M103
  • green lines: the open cluster Trumpler 2
  • green and pink lines: NGC 457, the Owl Cluster (but just appearing as a brightish star)
  • blue lines: NGC 281, the Pac Man nebula
  • purple lines: NGC 7789, Caroline's Haystack, first observed by Caroline Herschel, the sister of Sir William Herschel
I suspect the background sky colour is influenced by the yellow streetlights that were in place at the time, since replaced by LED ones.

Olympus OM-1 body mounted at Cassegrain focus of Criterion Dynamax 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope…
…so essentially a 2,110mm f/10.4 mirror lens on an OM-1 body

Very nice! I don't get the chance often but I always try to shoot some film night skies when I go out shooting digital!

Tried out the new little camera but unfortunately it does not work since most of my images came underexposed...
